About
We built this because the current system doesn't work.
Finding a reliable subcontractor in the tri-state area shouldn't be a gamble. But for most general contractors, it is. You call around, check a few references, hope for the best — and still end up with someone who doesn't show up, isn't properly insured, or does work that doesn't hold up.
We started Greylock to fix that. Our network is built on a simple premise: every subcontractor should be verified before they're ever recommended to a GC. That means license checks, insurance confirmation, and real reviews from the GCs who've actually worked with them.
Why NY, NJ, and CT
We know this market. We've worked in it. The tri-state area has its own licensing requirements, its own pace, and its own relationships. We're not a national platform that happens to list local contractors — we're built specifically for this region, and we're growing trade by trade.
What "Vetted" Actually Means
It means we've checked their state license, confirmed their insurance is current, and collected references from GCs in the field. It means they've passed our onboarding review. And it means we keep scoring their performance after every job — so the network gets better over time, not worse.
